I had the good fortune to be able to watch this rough legged hawk catch and eat 2 mice in about 5 minutes. This hawk had just finished mouse 1 and he took off and hovered for 5 seconds or so then he pounced on another mouse. To my surprise the hawk landed about 75 feet from me and ate mouse 2. This shot has the mouse on the ground right in front of the hawk.
