Grebes are one of my favorite birds and i must say western grebes running are at the top of the list.

Eared grebes are beautiful birds. They on occasion pass thru the Twin Cities metro area during spring on there way to their breeding grounds.

Rednecked grebes can be observed in many lakes west and north of The Twin Cities. 

Horned grebes migrate thru The Twin Cities each spring.

Pied Bill Grebes are a common bird in Minnesota

Western Grebes are the kings of breeding behavior!
